Katherine “Katie” Plichta is a renewable energy specialist with over seven years’ experience managing transactions, business development, and legal matters for energy and infrastructure companies. Based in Indonesia, Katie is currently the Director of Partnerships, Asia and Americas for d.light design, Inc., a social entrepreneurship entity that mainly serves low-income individuals in Sub-Saharan Africa and India and the world’s largest provider of off-grid solar lighting. Katie believes that investing in women transforms communities since women reinvest in their families when they have the means.

Katie holds J.D./M.B.A. Degrees from Stanford Law School and Stanford Graduate School of Business as well as a B.S. Degree in Business Administration from North Carolina State University.
