Originally from Kenya, Dr. Masinde is a Lecturer in Global Resource Systems and also serves as the Associate Director for Nutrition Education Programs in the Center for Sustainable Rural Livelihoods (CSRL), College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa, USA.

She provides leadership to the Nutrition Education Centers that address hunger and malnutrition issues among children, aged less than five years of age, and women of reproductive age in the Kamuli District of Uganda.
